Happiness. This word has a lot of meaning. Is it being successful in you career? Is it being with the love of your life? Perhaps it's achieving your dreams. Or simply just being contented.
A successful career will surely make anyone happy, it's the fruit of your labor. It is being admired envied and respected at work. People are sometimes so obsessed with it, there's a lot of books and tv shows which tackle "how to be successful" every now and then. The achievers will definitely agree and in all honesty, who don't want to be at the top?
Finally finding your soulmate, your forever, your better half, or the love of your life will of course make us happy. The person you want to spend the rest of your life, and will never stop loving no matter what comes your way. You can't imagine life without them. Who won't be happy going home with someone who love you and you love right? It's like putting a happy ending to your just-happy-go-lucky-young-self and being able to commit be serious and totally committed to someone.
Achieving your life long dream or hitting your goal is another reason of being happy. After all your hard work, sacrifices and struggles you finally did it! You made your loved ones proud, your at the top of the world. This is why we plan and for some this is the reason why they live.
These are just few of things we chase in life in order to find happiness. Each of us has a different personality, character, way of thinking and so on. Therefor we have our own definitions and ways on how to be happy or where we can find our happiness. For me happiness is being contented, they say no matter how hard you work you can't just have it all. It's easy to feel envy nowadays when people we see on the television are so perfect, when you think your superior is so smart or why life is so easy for others. Striving to be better is good of course, it's a way to grow to innovate. But try to look at the bright side of things sometimes we want so many things in life we tend to oversee small positive things.
Sometimes it's a perspective. Re you seeing the glass half full or half empty?
