Wedding entourages differs from religion, tradition or/and maybe superstition. But mostly the wedding entourage will play key roles in the ceremony. These people are chosen by the bride and the groom mostly their closest friends or family member who'll make sure that everything will go smoothly on that special day. These people will sign your contract, and suppose to guide you through your married life. Usually the friends of the couples' parents or their older friends since they will provide the experience and wisdom to help the newly weds. The secondary sponsors composed of the veil, candle and the cord. Not all religions have secondary sponsors, their role is to light the candle, that will guide you along the way. To put on the veil over the bride's head and on the grooms shoulder symbolizes that you are clothed as one. And the cord that signifies that you are bind to each other by the marriage. The maid of honor or matron of honor will be the bride's aid sometimes from the preparation to arranging her train or veil and holding her bouquet during the ceremony and helping you go to the lady's room in your reception. The bridesmaid usually help the maid or matron of honor with her duties. These people are usually the bride's closest girlfriends or cousins. They are the male counterpart of the bride's girls. The best man's role is to help the groom calm down and maybe run some errands for him. Also usually consists of the groom's best friends. The little girls role is to shower the aisle with flower petals from her little basket. And fingers cross that she won't have tantrums during the ceremony. Usually 1 to 4 girls. From their title, they will carry the bible, the couple's rings and the arrhae (aras) that symbolizes prosperity and abundance. Same as the flower girls these are kids usually nephews or their friend's kids.

Your wedding dress is maybe the dress of your life and it's important that you love your dress because that's what you'll see in pictures years after your wedding. And that's one of the few things that the guests will remember aside from food and venue. Here are some popular wedding dress fabric: Lace: There are many varieties of lace, but generally lace gives the vintage-ish feeling, it's soft, very feminine and classy feel. Chiffon: A lightweight, delicate fabric. and there are also many types to choose from. It's nice for hourglass figured brides for it drapes nicely onto the curves. This is popular because it's light, airy and comfortable even if you wear it for long hours. Satin: Satin is silky smooth and looks gorgeous under any lightning. It has an elegant and timeless look. Gorgeous in white, ivory or in any color really. Though satin should be handled more carefully because it's easy to have creases when not handled properly. Tulle: A traditional and popular choice is you want a puff in the skirt of your wedding dress, it can be for a ball gown, mermaid or A-line. This fabric is also can be use for the veil or the train. Remember when choosing fabrics for your wedding dress, consider the venue, the season, the type of dress you want and your body type. Happy prepping!
One of the important aspects of your wedding is the venue, it has to go with your theme of course, if you're going for a garden or beach wedding, maybe having your reception at a hotel or even at your backyard. Other thing to consider is the time of your wedding morning, afternoon or dinner, for example beach wedding is nice for afternoon weddings to capture the sunset. Or evenings if you want to have some fireworks. The season of your wedding is also a factor, summer, spring, winter or fall? Or if you live in the Philippines, it's summer or the rainy season. If you are having an outdoor reception make sure you have enough heater to keep your guests warm or have fans if it will get quite warm. Your number of guests is also an important thing, will it be just an intimate wedding having just your family and closest friends? or the usual 100-150 guests to having an all out fiesta for everyone you know. And you should not forget your budget and the availability of the venue on your wedding date, you can also ask them if they hold two or more events at once because you would maybe like to have the venue all for you and your guest on that date. Looking and booking early is a lot cheaper than a last minute venue booking and also you will have a lot to choose from when you look early also ask them if the price fixed as you book it because sometimes prices change without prior notice. With these things in mind hope I help you figure out what's the best venue for your big day, Happy prepping! So you have your dream dress in mind, but will it flatter your body type? Here's an illustration guide for you: Hourglass:
This means you have a small waist with prominent shoulders and hips. Mermaid or trumpet silhouette is best to show your curves and emphasize your waist. Inverted Triangle: If you have broader shoulder than your hips then you are an inverted triangle shape, you want to have an embellished or layered skirts to draw attention to the lower part of your body. You can also use belts to high light your waist and to take away attention to your shoulders. Rectangle: Also known as the "straight body type", you should avoid column gowns or those empire cuts with straight skirt for it will only emphasize your lack of curves, an A-line is a good choice for it will give you an illusion of hips with it's just right full skirt. Pear: This is the opposite of the inverted triangle type, your hips are wider than your shoulders. You can have an A-line dress to cover your hips or have some embellished top or sleeves to balance it all out. Apple: This means you have rounded tummy and hips, A-line is again a good choice to cover the mid section of your body and same like the pear shape an off shoulder or patterned sleeves will take away the attention your tummy. Now that you know your body type, you can easily pick the dress that will highlight your assets, and will make you gorgeous on your big day. Happy prepping! Your dream wedding of course does have a budget, maybe not the dream budget lol. So who's paying? Are your parents will share? And while we envy those who has the moon as the limit let's get real here, everything in your wedding has to be in your budget, we don't want to spend our married life paying debts right? When allocating your budget you must think where to put the bigger chunks of it. Most of it may go to the food or catering service, the dress and the entourage's clothes, accommodations if you will have a destination wedding and many other factors like: The number of guests: Do you want to have an intimate wedding with just close friends and family? Or you're going all out? Of course the bigger the number of your guests, the more expensive your wedding will get. Because you have to provide more food, bigger space, more tables, more centerpieces, more prints of invitation and the list just go on and on.. basically more of everything. The Wedding Church and Venue: Different churches and venues have different rates what I can suggest is as early as you agreed on your wedding date you should start looking for your wedding church and venue as well, it will be hard and possibly expensive if you book later on your wedding planning. Some have the ceremony and the reception in the same place, that's a good idea because you'll just pay for one place, and you don't have to worry on the transportation. The Day and Time: June and December I can say is the peak season of weddings, who doesn't want to be a June bride? or many ladies want to have a holiday wedding. Again the key is to look and book early and ask them if the price you signed in the contract will not change over time. Those are just among lots of factors that can take most of your wedding budget but in the end it will still depend on you, where you want your budget placed. If you want to spend more on flowers or the dresses or the music. It's your wedding after all. Happy planning! First of all Congratulations! One of the happiest day of your life, right? Now the questions from here on, what you gonna do? Where to start? Who to talk to first? What is your color motif? What about your dress? and so on.. There'll be a million questions and things to do. But don't get stressed out with these things. It should be fun planning your wedding. One of the first things you should do is make a wedding binder, folder or notebook. This contains your wedding plans, inspirations, theme what you want to have. Try to make some categories and divide each category to contain smaller and specific details. From here you can add your timeline, calender, to do list and compile your receipts ideas and everything you think about your dream wedding. You can of course customize your categories of which matters to you most and you can also base your categories on which you want to spend more of your budget. This can take time to do but once you have organize your thoughts it would be a lot easier to go step by step on your wedding. There is no ideal timeline or deadline to plan a wedding but for me a year's time is enough to make your dream wedding come true! So happy planning!
